Horndean Community Association (HCA) is a social welfare charity operating from  Merchistoun Hall in the Parish of Horndean. The Parish consists of the villages of Horndean, Blendworth, Catherington and part of Lovedean in the county of Hampshire.

Horndean Community Association runs its own wide and varied programme of activities and events that support educational, recreational, social and leisure-time activities and enables the Community Association to promote social welfare for everyone in both the local and wider communities.

One of these activities, its own preschool, Minnows is rated GOOD in all areas by Ofsted 2015.

With a theatre space built into the hall boasting full light and sound systems, the Horndean Amateur Dramatic Society (better known as HATS) is able to put on performances throughout the year.

The Community Association can offer meeting rooms for both community groups (at a discounted rate) and corporate clients in Merchistoun Hall .

The hall, which is a Grade II listed building, is also the ideal venue for functions and weddings , having available, a hall, bar lounge, kitchen plus subsidiary rooms.  The 4.5 acres of grounds are an ideal backdrop for photo shoots.

The Community Association operates on social enterprise principals and all monies generated is reinvested in the charity and helps to ensure the upkeep of the land and buildings.
